Ensuring Safe and Fair Trading: WON's New Merchant Access Requirements

Dear WON’s merchant,

To enhance the user experience and ensure the safety and reliability of transactions on the platform, we have once again upgraded the merchant access criteria.

WON has increased the required deposit amount for merchants from $20,000 to $30,000. All merchants are requested to pay the full amount of the deposit before April 14.

With this update, the access criteria for WON’s merchants are as follows

• Business Registration: You must have a registered business in your country of origin. We require merchants to provide documentation of their business registration to ensure that all merchants are operating legally.
• Audit Report: Merchants must provide the company’s audit report audited by an accounting firm for the past year. This requirement is to ensure the financial stability and transparency of the merchant’s business operations.
• Compliance with Regulations: All merchants must comply with the regulations in their country of origin related to gift card trading. This includes adhering to tax regulations and ensuring that all transactions are conducted legally and ethically.
• On-site Certification: Merchants must undergo WON official on-site certification to ensure their legitimacy and trustworthiness. This process involves an on-site audit of the merchant’s business operations and practices to ensure they meet the standards set by WON.
• Company Size: Merchants must have a company size of more than 50 people. This requirement is in place to ensure that merchants have the resources and capacity to handle a high volume of transactions on the platform.
• Reliable Communication: Merchants must maintain reliable communication with WON and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. This helps to ensure that all transactions are completed smoothly and efficiently.
• Deposit: Merchants must pay a $30,000 deposit. When a merchant is proven to have defrauded a user in a transaction arbitration, WON will pay the user 10 times the amount of the transaction by deducting it from the merchant’s security deposit.

The deposit serves as a guarantee for merchants to follow the transaction process and provide high-quality services to users. The upgrade of merchant access requirements is just one of the many measures that WON has taken to enhance user experience and maintain the platform's integrity.
